I am currently a senior at Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY). I am majoring in Jazz Studies, while minoring in Advertising and Public Relations. I aspire to become an underly paid, over worked, under appreciated art director for some ad agency. Future plans may put me in Boston, Virginia, Miami, or even Atlanta, GA... of course, that's only if I continue my education (which I plan to do, it might just not happen right away!).
At Ithaca College, I keep myself busy with a several activities. I am the co-chair of Advertising and Public Relations for the Bureau of Concerts. As you may have well guessed, the BOC brings an array of entertainment to Ithaca College and surrounding communities. To see some of the work that the BOC has done, visit www.ithaca.edu/boc .
I am also a member of the Jazz Club, an organization dedicated to furthering the appreciation of jazz through the sponsorship of guest artists and concerts.
As a musician, I spend my spare time practicing and writing music. The electric bass is my primary instrument but I also play the guitar, piano, saxophone and some percussion.
It's hard for me to believe that I will be graduating this semester. At one time, it seemed so far away to be true, but the again, so was graduating from HS. I graduated in June of 2000 with High Honors. In my time at Blackstone-Millville Regional High School, I was involved in the National Honor Society, Student Council, Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Band, Science Team and the Yearbook Planning Committee.
Looking back, I realize I've done a lot of things, yet I still don't feel like I've done something great... just yet. We'll see what the future holds. I've always said of myself: I know some things about everything, but I don't know everything about something. Here's to finding something... Cheers.
